The First Descendant Feature Has A Great Free Way To Obtain Ultimate Weapons

is filled with powerful Ultimate weapons that can be purchased, but the free path to acquiring them is quite easy. Though 's microtransaction practices have been scrutinized, the game offers everything non-cosmetic for free. However, some drop rates have been notoriously bad so far, making some of the grinds feel longer than they should be.

Rare weapons in can be acquired through missions or Void Intercepts. For the most part, these weapons will keep dropping at a higher power level until the cap and lower-damage weapons must be upgraded. Ultimate weapons are similar to Exotics from, where they have a bonus effect unique to them. However, unlike, all three weapon slots can have an Ultimate weapon equipped. Also, every seasonal Battle Pass will have an Ultimate weapon that can be earned for free, with the first being the Vestigial Organ launcher.

Hard mode can be unlocked in The First Descendant once players have completed all of the main missions and zone missions on the normal difficulty.

The cheapest and most consistent path towards getting Ultimate weapons is through the Research Institute. This process has a few steps but can be done quickly once figured out. Every Ultimate weapon consists of three rare tier parts and the Ultimate tier blueprint. These blueprints and parts can be acquired through world missions or operations. After that, there is just the gold cost, which is of minimal consequence for most players, and building time.

However, another way to acquire these parts if drop rates are not generous is through Void Intercepts, which areboss fights that have high drop rates for blueprints of each of these parts. From there, players can gather lower-tier resources to craft the individual parts. The Ultimate tier blueprint for the weapon will still need to be acquired, but this method drops the number of RNG acquisitions from four to one.
