Stellar Blade Dev Reveals How Many Costumes Are Available in the Game

The director behind the upcoming Stellar Blade has revealed the amount of costumes available to wear, with 30 in total being unlockable in-game. Stellar Blade is releasing on April 26, with many gamers keeping their eyes on it after its re-reveal in 2023. Its developer, Shift Up, is making its debut as a high-end console developer with Stellar Blade, with the game garnering attention for its sci-fi setting and its characters. The protagonist of Stellar Blade, Eve, has been a hot topic of discussion ever since the game's reveal.

Stellar Blade's protagonist is a character who is tasked with saving humanity from extinction due to the presence of wrecked machines known as the Naytiba. A lot of early comparisons that gamers made involved Nier Automata, as both games feature a cybernetic action heroine who is tasked with saving the world, along with a similar hack-and-slash gameplay style. Like Nier Automata, Stellar Blade also features accessories and costumes that can be found in-game.

In an interview with Push Square, Stellar Blade's director, Hyung-Tae Kim, was asked about the customization options in the game. Kim states that there are around 30 different costumes to find, with all of them acquirable through gameplay. These can be found through exploration, completing a quest, or purchasing them in the in-game store. A handful of these costumes and hairstyles were shown in the January State of Play Stellar Blade trailer, which includes a golden top with jeans, a red dress, and a bunny-themed hoodie.

Kim also says players can earn different hairstyles or accessories to wear in Stellar Blade, such as glasses and earrings. He also emphasizes that players won't need to make any additional purchases to acquire these costumes. That said, Stellar Blade does have some pre-order exclusive bonuses, which include additional cosmetics like a special suit, glasses, and earrings, along with an early start with extra money and EXP.
