Stardew Valley Reveals New Farm Type for Update 1.6

With just hours remaining before the release of Update 1.6, Stardew Valley creator Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone has revealed that a new Meadowlands Farm is on the way. Fans have been excitedly awaiting the big Stardew Valley Update 1.6, with ConcernedApe continuing to drop sneak peeks like the new farm type and more fun changes.

First launched in 2016, Stardew Valley is a life-sim that features a variety of gameplay including farming, fishing, foraging, mining, crafting, and more. Players have long-enjoyed the game's pixel graphics, wholesome characters, and relaxing atmosphere. Update 1.6 promises to be the biggest patch to date, and previews of what's to come continue to bolster excitement ahead of the impending content drop.

ConcernedApe has revealed that a brand-new Meadowlands Farm with a starter coop and two chickens will be coming in Update 1.6. This Meadowlands Farm will allow players to have an early start on building their in-game finances and subsequently be able to build and unlock more content even faster. Fans have already begun celebrating the new farm type announcement, along with the flurry of other preview details.

Stardew Valley Update 1.6 drops March 19, and players are eagerly counting down the final hours to the major additions on the way. The Meadowlands Farm and drinkable mayonnaise join a lineup of big changes, such as new NPC seasonal outfits, a Big Chest storage box, and more in-game festivals. There will also be a number of bug fixes in Update 1.6, including changes to
