Star Wars Outlaws: Should You Give The Gambler More Credits?

As players explore the city of Mirogana in the early chapters of , they may come across a gambler down on his luck who offers them a choice. He tells Kay that he's run out of money, but believes a hot streak is incoming; he just needs a little bit of cash to get the ball rolling. Players can either turn him down outright, or give him a loan in one of two denominations (either 100 or 500 credits) to help him along.

It may seem like a minor difference, but like many choices made in , even this one has consequences. What players do here can either cause them to secure or miss out on a reward down the line, a worthy chunk of change that can come in handy during the early game.

If the player decides not to give the gambler any more money, absolutely nothing will happen. He'll scoff at Kay's greed and end the interaction. Players likely won't see him again; he may appear in the same capacity later, but don't think he'll come looking for revenge or waving his lucky winnings in Kay's face. After this, the gambler basically fades into the background, perhaps leaving players with the sense that they missed an opportunity.

If Kay instead decides to give the gambler some of her money, she'll get it back — and then some — in a later scene. After choosing to give the gambler either 100 or 500 credits, Kay should go off elsewhere and complete a few other missions — main quests, Intel Chains, side activities, whatever — then return to the gambler in Mirogana. He should have a white dot over his head, indicating that he's available to speak to, and once players do, will reward them with their initial investment plus a 50% return.

The gambler can always be found sitting outside the Canto Fathier Racing betting station in Mirogana.

It's worth mentioning that the exact rewards of this side quest differ depending on how much money Kay gives the gambler: if she gives him 100 credits, she'll get 150 back, and if she gives him 500, she'll get 750. Therefore, it's best to give the
