Should You Romance Ulrika Or Wilhelmina in Dragon's Dogma 2?

There are two primary romance options in : Wilhelmina and Ulrika. Players can technically raise their relationship levels with almost any non-Pawn character in the kingdoms of Vermund and Battahl, but only Ulrika and Wilhelmina have fully fleshed-out romances. These romances both begin with a mission in (or a series thereof), in which the romantic prospect plays a major role. After gaining their attention by helping them with a task, the Arisen can start bringing them gifts to further raise their favor.

There are benefits to romancing other NPCs — for example, catching a merchant's eye can lead to some pretty significant discounts. The Arisen's favorite NPC will also have a small impact on the ending of . But Ulrika's and Wilhelmina's are the most involved, and have more plot-relevant rewards. Once either character's affinity has reached the maximum level, players will be treated to a special romantic scene. The differences between these two characters, their impact on the story, and the overall quality of their quest lines make one romance option far better than the other.

If nothing else,romancing Wilhelmina is thrilling. Her quest line is filled with conspiracy and intrigue, and although it's relatively short, it's a lot of fun. Players first meet Wilhelmina during the quest "." This requires them to infiltrate a masquerade at Vernworth Castle, where they'll attempt to observe the false Sovran. During the party, the Arisen finds their way through a secret door into the Rose Chateau.

The Vernworth Masquerade only occurs every two in-game days. If the Arisen arrives in town but can't seem to activate the quest, try resting at an inn for a night, or returning after a few days of adventuring.
