Secret Starfield Easter Egg Shows Bethesda Really Does Care About Realism

is filled with references to scientific discoveries and organizations but one player has discovered what may be the most intelligent Easter egg yet, proving that despite criticism against the game, Bethesda really does care about realism. Leading up to the release of Bethesda Game Studio's massive RPG, the developer went out of its way to describe the game's aesthetic as «NASA-punk,» noting that the creative team spent a great deal of time researching space exploration to provide an authentic representation of the future.

Posted to Reddit by Aggravating-Bunch850, the user notes that during the «Entangled» mission, players can observe an image in the Nishina Research Station which resembles a rotated depiction of the real-life Higgs Boson event that was conducted by the European Organization for Nuclear Research.

The amount of secrets hidden within the game is massive so it stands to reason that the latest discovery took several months to unearth. In a follow-up comment, the appreciative player went on to say:

Not only is this Easter egg an accurate representation of the actual experiment, but it also lines up with the theme of the quest given that it involves plenty of particle colliders and unknown scientific variables. The Higgs discovery itself is hailed as an important moment in science that can guide future theoretical experimentation, and its inclusion in Starfield shows the game really does have some of the depth Bethesda promised, despite the game being criticized for lack of immersion.

«Entangled» is one of the more interesting quests in largely dealing with the idea of a parallel universe and our potential to one day breach the barrier between dimensions.
