Sea of Thieves PS5 Version Currently the Best-Selling Pre-Order on the US and Various European PS Storese

The upcoming Sea of Thieves PS5 version is currently the best-selling pre-order on the US and various European PlayStation Stores.

The former Xbox console exclusive became available for pre-order on Sony's console some days ago, and as spotted by industry analyst Benji Sales, the pirate action-adventure from Rare is already topping the pre-order charts in the US. Rare's title is thereby beating pre-orders of other popular franchises, including Sony's MLB The Show 24, Dragon's Dogma 2, and Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Although Benji only mentioned the US PlayStation Stores, the game is also topping the pre-order charts in both France and Germany and even the UK. In Spain, the game is currently the third best-selling pre-order.

"We’re delighted to share that Sea of Thieves is now available to pre-order on PlayStation 5, with three new editions hitting the PlayStationStore today", Rare wrote some days ago. "Keen corsairs-to-be now have the option to pre-order the standard edition of the game, the Deluxe Edition or the Premium Edition from the PlayStation Store, which come with a variety of perks and bonuses."

Those who pre-order the game on PS5 will get access exclusive cosmetic items, including the Ruby Viper Cutlass, Pistol, Blunderbuss and Eye of Reach, as well as a Scarlet Storm Parakeet pet along with Kraken and Sea Dog pet outfits in which to dress it.

Released in 2018 for Xbox and PC, Sea of Thieves is now coming to PS5 consoles on April 30 after Microsoft confirmed that some older former Xbox console exclusives are coming to rival consoles. The game will offer full crossplay support with other platforms on Sony's console.
