Samsung Is Going To Mass Produce Half A Million Galaxy Ring Units Initially, Shows The Company Has High Hopes

The Galaxy Ring is going to be an excellent product for all Samsung users. Especially those who are looking for a fitness tracker without having to wear it on their wrist. Earlier today, we heard about how the smart ring is going to offer upwards of 9-day battery life, and it sounds really interesting considering how Samsung has made something that is class-leading in terms of how it performs.

Samsung's ambitious release plans for the Galaxy Ring could run into some hurdles as there are size and color variations to take into account

Even though the Galaxy Ring is not available to purchase, we keep hearing more and more details about Samsung's upcoming wearables. Now a new report is suggesting that the company's plans are rather ambitious when it comes to the new wearables.

Based on a report coming out of Korea, Samsung is aiming for the initial mass production of the Galaxy Ring to be somewhere between 400,000 and 500,000 units. Now, this seems like a great idea, but bear in mind that Samsung will have to account for the size differences because the smart ring is going to be available in nine sizes and three finishes. This means that Samsung will have to take a lot of the factors into account, and it actually makes it harder because a single product has so many variations.

All of this has me excited about the Galaxy Ring because, let's be honest, not a lot of people are comfortable wearing a watch on their wrist all the time, and if someone can just replace their watch with a ring that does the same job minus the time-telling, I think it becomes a great offering. Now, I do love the idea of a Galaxy Watch, but I am a traditional watch guy, and I cannot fathom replacing a traditional watch with a smartwatch as it would make very little sense to me.
