PS5 Pro Took Just 19 Months from Prototype to Release Without Missing Deadlines, Says Insider

Today is the day Sony will most likely unveil the new PS5 Pro console. After long months of leaks and rumors, not to mention the near-confirmation of its imminent launch from various developers at Gamescom, Lead System Architect Mark Cerny (who already designed the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, and PlayStation 5) will take the stage later today for a 9-minute video presentation scheduled for 8 AM Pacific Time (5 PM CET).

In case anyone had any lingering doubts about what the presentation would be about, some eagle-eyed users discovered an unlisted video on PlayStation's YouTube channel simply titled 'PS5 Pro'.

Arguably, Tom Henderson has been the most prolific and reliable insider when it comes to PlayStation 5 Pro updates. For example, he confirmed the leaked specifications from the Moore's Law Is Dead video and revealed that the console's codename was Trinity, keeping with the Matrix theme (the PlayStation 4 Pro was codenamed Neo).
