PS5 Pro Rumors Point To Release Date Delay But It Makes Total Sense

For quite some time, rumors of the PlayStation 5 Pro have circulated, with detailed technical specifications suggesting that it would be coming soon, potentially this year. However, this may not be the case, as new reports suggest that its release date may have been delayed and won't be launching in 2024. While this will likely come as a disappointment to those who have held off purchasing the current versions of the console or were looking forward to upgrading, it would make sense considering the wider gaming space for PlayStation.

's Tom Henderson, who has a solid track record with Sony hardware leaks, previously being the first to reveal the remote-play-based PlayStation Portal handheld, had previously mentioned the upgraded console but, alongside many other leakers, has been quiet about its state in recent months. When discussing the upcoming Gamescom event on X, Henderson was discussing the kind of news coming out of the event with videotechuk and suggested that the PS5 Pro may not be launching in 2024.
