PS5 Owner Makes Awesome Faceplates Featuring Call of Duty's Ghost

A talented PS5 owner-cum-Call of Duty fan has created a custom PS5 faceplate that features the popular CoD character Simon Riley, aka Ghost. Impressively, the console gamer took care of everything, from sketching to inking, on their own.

PS5's faceplates are quite a popular canvas for enthusiasts who like to personalize their items. In the past, fans have decorated their PS5 to showcase Alien, Predator, and other pop-culture mainstays. Lately, another PS5 gamer has turned the regular faceplate into his own work of art, inking the face of a popular Call of Duty character on it.

In a recent Reddit post, user Existing-Sample-3368 shared some images of his personalized PS5 faceplates that depict a hand-drawn face of Simon «Ghost» Riley from the Call of Duty games. The post gave a glimpse of the art process at each stage, from sketching to inking to the final product. While replying to one of the comments, the OP revealed that they used «professional automotive lacquer paint,» also used for detailing on cars, for the custom faceplates. They also revealed using a clear polish to protect the art from any eventual wear and tear.

Among the comments, several users commended the author's work on his custom PS5 faceplates. In addition, a comment jokingly suggested that the OP should have drawn the «real PlayStation Ghost» instead of the Call of Duty character, alluding to Jin Sakai from the PlayStation first-party game Ghost of Tsushima.
