Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Player One-Shots Tera Raid Blastoise Using Magikarp

One tenacious player has managed to beat the latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid by one-shotting Blastoise with Magikarp. Their battling feat extends Magikarp's lengthy success streak in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids.

As was the case with Max Raid Battles from Swordand Shield, Tera Raids in the newest mainline Pokemon RPGs manage to be both challenging and accessible; although they do pit trainers against some fairly dangerous creatures, beating them is still possible using pretty much any strategy imaginable. With this setup, their strategy for performing the one-hit KO on Blastoise started with the supporting cast increasing the team's survivability by debuffing the boss with Eerie Impulse and stealing its moveset with Skill Swap. In between healing and party buffs, Toxtricity then used Swagger on Magikarp three times, raising its Attack by six points. While holding the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Metronome item, Magikarp itself built up its damage and Tera charge by using Flail on teammates. Polteageist then bestowed Alolan Golem's Galvanize onto Magikarp with another Skill Swap, followed by Alolan Golem buffing Galvanized Flail with Electric Terrain.

The final stretch of the setup involved Toxtricity using its held Lansat Berry to boost Magikarp's
