Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Announce Highly-Requested Paradox Tera Raids

Weeks after the previous Tera raid battle event, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet confirm the return of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves as Dive-star Tera raid bosses. The last time Walking Wake and Iron Leaves appeared in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet respectively was during the 2023 winter holiday season, so players who have not already done so will have another chance to catch these elusive Pokemon.

As two of the rarest Paradox Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Walking Wake will exclusively appear in Pokemon Scarlet, as will Iron Leaves in Pokemon Violet. Based respectively on the Legendary Pokemon Suicune and Virizion, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are powerful Paradox Pokemon that can bolster their attacks via the Protosynthesis and Quark Drive abilities. Just like the Pokemon they are based on, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are part of a trio, with the former joined by Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt, and the latter by Iron Crown and Iron Boulder.

According to Serebii.net, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will appear in Five-Star Tera raid battles starting on Thursday, April 25, at 8:00 PM Eastern, and ending on Sunday, May 5, at 7:59 PM Eastern. This round of Tera raid battles will start just a few weeks after Meganium the Unrivaled took the stage as a seven-star Tera raid boss in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Walking Wake will have the Water type as its Tera type, and Iron Leaves will be a Tera-Psychic foe. Like previous rounds, the Paradox Pokemon will start the battle with Sunny Day and Electric Terrain to activate their respective abilities and boost their attack power.

However, the return of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves comes with the caveat that only one Walking Wake and Iron Leaves each can be caught per Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet save file. But, players who previously snagged a Walking Wake or Iron Leaves will not
