The Bolt Strike Legendary Pokémon, Thundurus, will be appearing in Raids in its Incarnate Forme. This means that it will have a genie-like appearance with a menacing stare when approached in a Raid Battle. Towering over the Trainer, Thundurus will have a max Raid Boss CP of 46044 and will be stronger if paired with a Rainy or Windy Weather Effect. However, this shockingly strong Legendary Pokémon should be taken down easily by at least six high-level players with the right counters.
Incarnate Forme Thundurus Raids in will happen from August 12, 2024, until August 21, 2024, according to the August 2024 Raid Boss Schedule. This Force of Nature should be approached with caution since its Attack stat is a base of 295, making it a huge threat against many Pokémon. However, with a high attack stat usually comes low defenses. Incarnate Forme Thundurus has two weaknesses in. These weaknesses are Ice-type and Rock-type moves. With only two weaknesses, it is fairly easy to pick Pokémon that can counter Incarnate Forme Thundurus very quickly. Keep in mind that although Thundurus is part Electric-type, its Ground-type weakness is mitigated due to its secondary Flying-typing.
Ground-type Pokémon typically use Rock-type moves as a secondary move choice. You can use a Ground-type Pokémon to defend against heavy Electric-type damage all while dealing a large amount of damage back with a Rock-type move. In this instance, your best offense is a good defense.
