Pokemon Fan Builds Incredible Snorlax Card Display Using Popsicle Sticks

A creative Pokemon fan has built a Snorlax display for Pokemon cards using popsicle sticks. The design is an excellent representation of the sleepy Pokemon and its unusual medium is drawing attention.

Pokemon fans celebrate the franchise with fanart utilizing all kinds of mediums, ranging from drawings to Pokemon LED wall art. The series' longevity and the presence of over 1000 Pokemon seems to keep fans invested in creating new artistic designs, and often with impressive results like this.

Pokemon fan Sunsage11 shared a few photographs of their Snorlax creation, with it being both accurate to the Pokemon's design and quite useful as an organization tool. The Snorlax is made with layers of stacked popsicle sticks, with blue, white, and cream colors representing Snorlax's body, claws, and face. A close-up photo also shows Sunsage11 lifting off the top of Snorlax's foot, which holds a secret compartment that's perfect for small baubles like dice. While the entire design is clever and cute, it also provides a surprising amount of practical storage space.

Fellow Pokemon fans have been very impressed with the design and outspoken about Sunsage11's level of patience and commitment to the project. While Sunsage11 doesn't specify exactly how long it took them to complete the project, they admit that even as a fan of crafts, this one tried their patience near the end. Another Pokemon fan joked that now they only needed to make another 1024 popsicle Pokemon.

While it debuted back in Gen 1 in Pokemon Red and Blue, Snorlax has managed to remain a popular and highly-recognized Pokemon in the decades since. Although this particular fanart medium is unusual, Snorlax draws attention from all kinds of Pokemon fanartists. Some fans imagine Snorlax's potential Paradox forms, while some decide to create crossovers for the Pokemon, either blending it with fellow
