Creative Minecraft Players Build Incredible City on a Bridge

A group of creative Minecraft players have built an incredible city on a bridge that includes a castle, cathedral, and more. With Minecraft including ravines and valleys, bridges have always been necessary, but these players have turned one bridge into a city.

Since it was released, Minecraft has offered nearly limitless creative potential which has been expanded upon through updates. Different patches have added new materials to build with, like Copper in Minecraft Caves and Cliffs and Cherry wood in version 1.20. Beyond expanding on the foundations of the game for new players, these blocks also revolutionized how existing gamers worked on fresh builds. Four players have decided to make a city on a giant bridge that connects two mountains using the game's many materials.

YouTuber Linard recently shared a video detailing the creation of their bridge city, which they have dubbed Meridion. The timelapse Minecraft Creative video begins with parts of the mountains being dug out, and the structure of the bridge and its support beams being built. From there, the players build up each city district while telling the story of Meridion and its inhabitants. The city is ruled by a royal family that resides in the massive castle, while the rich citizens live atop the bridge and the poor ones live in its underbelly. Once Meridion is complete, the clip also highlights terraforming that was done to the surrounding area to make it appear weathered by the population.

The players chose dark colors for their bridge to emphasize weathering from rain and other elements. The materials used to create it are Minecraft's Amethyst, Cobblestone, Copper, Deepslate, Leaves, Moss, Redstone, different types of wood, and more. According to the YouTuber, this bridge city took the players around six months to create. Each of the four players has a monument dedicated to them on each bridge pillar. Some finer details in the build include Phantom traps, clothes hanging from a clothesline, a parrot
