Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson says that Diablo 4's next patch will do for progression what the infamous Season 4 did to improve loot.
Diablo 4 is bringing back the RPG series' beloved mercenary system in Vessel of Hatred to help you "round out your build."
The expansion is slated for release this October, bringing with it a myriad of exciting new features, areas, and improvements to the title. The upcoming addition reintroduces the jungle-like realm of Nahantu, which was first seen in, as well as the class Spiritborn. Meant for the late-game, players will need to complete the original storyline at least once before moving on to the expansion that continues the story of Mephisto.

In a truce that will rank in significance alongside Westphalia, Versailles, and Paris, Diablo 4 maker Blizzard Entertainment and Whoopi Goldberg (from Sister Act) have publicly buried the hatchet. At a Whoopi Goldberg-themed cannabis event with Diablo's general manager and Lilith herself in attendance, no less (via Entertainment Weekly).
Blizzard has revealed details about Diablo 4’s fifth season, which will feature a wave-based survival mode.
Diablo 4‘s Vessel of Hatred expansion will launch on October 8, 2024.
