Palworld's Update Just Made Catching High-Level Pals A Whole Lot Easier

has been on a steady path of improvement since its launch in early access, and the newest update brings a major quality of life addition to the process of catching Pals. Although nabbing weak Pals in the wild has never been all that much of a challenge, successful high-level acquisitions can be a lot more frustrating. Making a small mistake or having a bit of bad luck has often spelled the end of a chance at capturing an exceptional Pal, frequently killing it outright without any intention to.

Part of 's success has arguably been due to its marketable edge, and the risks of accidentally killing a Pal certainly play up that brand image of something darker than, however crudely achieved. Even so, the fact remained that this just wasn't fun to experience in gameplay, at least not at the rate that it could occur. Leveling and progression in can already take a long time thanks to its glut of survival crafting elements, so running into roadblocks like this mostly just slows down the overall experience.

The newest update to is v0.2.0.6, which features a substantial list of changes that can be viewed in full on Steam. The one that might stand out the most among them is the addition of a «concept to stop Pal opponents from being accidentally killed in combat. Any Pal with the passive „“ is incapable of bringing enemies down past 1 HP in an attack, making it easy to weaken foes as much as possible before deploying a Pal Sphere to end the combat in a nonviolent manner and expand the collection.

Breeding Pals to sport this passive is obviously going to be a major prerogative for many players, but it isn't the only way to make use of the feature. The „“ is an accessory that imbues the same effect, which can be crafted by anyone with the appropriate level and resources. At Ancient Technology Level 19, the Ring of Mercy costs 2 Ancient Technology Points, and crafting it requires 30 Ingots, 20 Paldium Fragments, and 5 Ancient Civilization Parts.
