Palworld Gets New Update on Xbox

Developer Pocketpair has released a new update for Palworld, with this one exclusively targeting the Xbox version of the game. Palworld is readily available on Steam and Xbox, but there is yet to be parity between the two versions of the game. At the time of this writing, Palworld offers a more fully-featured experience on Steam, though there are steps being made to change that and eventually bring the experiences closer together.

Right now, Palworld on Steam has exclusive features that Xbox is missing out on. The two big ones are dedicated servers and 32-player co-op, though both are expected to come to the console versions of the game at some point down the road. It remains to be seen exactly when Palworld on Xbox will get these features, but a new update for the console version of the game has been released in the meantime.

The latest Palworld Xbox update, v0.1.5.2, is available to download right now. As revealed by the patch notes, the new Palworld update addresses a problem where save data larger than 16MB would not save correctly, as well as a multiplayer-related bug that would cause the game to crash. With Palworld being an early access game, technical problems like these are expected, but hopefully it runs better after the update.

Palworld crashing has been a consistent problem since the game made its record-breaking debut in early access. Multiple Palworld updates have been released since launch to address the crashing and other bugs impacting the game, though it is still far from perfect. Developer Pocketpair will continue improving the Palworld experience through regular updates as it leads up to the game's 1.0 release.

The Palworld community no doubt appreciates updates like this that squash bugs, but it's safe to say many Xbox gamers are more interested in getting dedicated servers and 32-player co-op. It's unclear exactly when these unfortunatePalworldco-op restrictions will be removed in the Xbox version of the game, but hopefully fans don't have to wait
