Overwatch 2 Gets Spooky with the Arrival of Season 13 Early Next Week

Overwatch 2 Season 13 arrives on October 15 and Blizzard is teasing that things are about to get spooky.

Spellbinder Widowmaker, a new Mythic skin, is coming in the update and will see Widowmaker ascend from a mere potions apprentice to a “master of the dark arts” through the skin’s upgrade evolution. Spellbinder Widowmaker includes custom animations, new visual effects, and an “eerie soundscape” audible with every kill.

The Halloween Terror event returns once again this year, with some new additions. The event runs from October 15 through November 4 and will see players enter Junkenstein’s Laborartory in a new Team Deathmatch PvP mode with mutations that can transform “heroes into  horrors.” With each match, cursed talent cards will modify the player’s abilities with changes that are said to be a challenge for even the most seasoned players. Those who prefer a more PvE experience can take part in Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride co op modes.

Lastly, Overwatch 2 will feature a new collab with a number of skins inspired by My Hero Academia. From October 17 through October 30, players can acquire a Deku skin for Tracer, All Might for Reinhardt, Uravity for Juno, Tomura Shigaraki for Reaper, or Himiko Toga for Kiriko.
