New Gods Baron Samedi and Yemoja Have Joined the SMITE 2 Roster in Closed Alpha 3

Hi-Rez Studios and Titan Forge games have announced two ‘new’ gods have joined the SMITE 2 roster as part of the game’s third closed alpha.

Baron Samedi and Yemoja are the two gods joining the SMITE 2 roster. Players of the original game will recognize them as they’ve been converted to SMITE 2.

Baron Samedi is SMITE 2’s first god from the Voodoo Pantheon. As the God of Life and Death, Baron Samedi’s toolkit brings a heavy focus on crowd control, healing allies, and damage over time effects. His ultimate pulls the souls of his enemies into a vortex centered on his coffin.

Yemoja is the Goddess of Rivers and is another first for SMITE 2 as her addition marks the first God to join the roster from the Yoruba Pantheon. Yemoja utilizes a unique resource called Omi to cast her spells instead of mana. Yemoja uses her water based abilities to assist her allies and debilitate her foes.

The latest update also adds some new tutorial videos and guides for Arena and Conquest game modes to improve the experience for new players.

Players can gain guaranteed entry into SMITE 2’s closed testing by purchasing the Founder’s Edition on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. It’s also possible to join the alpha by registering on the official website.
