Destiny 2: Episode 2 - Revenant is Out Today, Watch the Launch Trailer

Destiny 2: Episode 2 – Revenant is out today and Bungie has released a launch trailer to mark the occasion.

In Episode 2 – Revenant, players will join Mithrax and take the fight against Fikrul, the villain of Forsaken. Fikrul has acquired an Echo of the Witness and has spawned a new type of Scorn.

It all sounds and looks great from the trailer, but Episode 1 – Echoes did generally disappoint, so we’ll have to see how it all shakes out with Revenant.

Still, there’s plenty to look forward to with this latest content drop outside of the main story. The game’s horde mode, Onslaught, has been expanded with new maps, enemies, and rewards. Content time gating won’t be a thing here, either. Instead of spacing out the Episode’s content in each Act, all of its missions will be available immediately.  There’s also a bunch of new weapons and armor to look forward to, too.

Bungie’s approach to Destiny 2’s content cadence will change beginning in summer 2025 with Codename Frontiers. The studio will pivot away from single annual expansions, to delivering two medium sized expansions and four free content updates each year. The aim is to roll content out more regularly and keep players engaged and coming back to Destiny 2 more often.
