One Stardew Valley 1.6 Glitch Could Make You A Stardew Millionaire

A glitch in 1.6 is making characters extremely wealthy overnight. There are various ways to accumulate gold in, as players build a dilapidated farm their character has inherited, bringing its standards up to produce several different types of goods.

Now it may be some people's dream to fall asleep and wake up without ever having to worry about money again, but this happened to one lucky character. According to Redditor KillerWhitman00, their friend passed out at 2 am during a cutscene in a multiplayer game and woke up with over 100 million gold in the Current Funds section of their inventory.

One of the server mods encouraged KillerWhitman00 to report the issue on the official forums, to which the general consensus seemed to be that "" and players would much rather keep exploiting the glitch to the point where they could become billionaires themselves. rimoldi98 did point out the risks of doing this, however, suggesting that such a glitch could break save files as the Current Funds, Total Earnings, and current gold values are all different, so one "" action that expects those to be the same could cause the game to break.

Although KillerWhitman00's glitch may seem like an easy way to cheat the system, players have become billionaires through more legitimate means. Fellow Redditor gorz1244 also took to the r/StardewValley subreddit to share a screenshot of over a billion gold in both their Current Funds and Total Earnings counters, asking players what they should spend it on.

When asked how gorz1244 became so wealthy in the game, they replied that it took "", which is reflected by the fact that they're on Day 11 of Winter, Year 18 in their screenshot. Apparently, the key was to sell artisan and fishing goods, with the main earners being "" Old-Answer232 did point out that now gorz1244 has this wealth, they could purchase several Statues of Endless Fortunes, pointing out that 1000 of these can earn "", making it "".
