New Fortnite season adds Fallout’s T-60 power armor and Wastelander Magneto

Epic Games has revealed Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 5 Season 3 – Wrecked.

Players can now start downloading the latest Fortnite patch on all platforms ahead of the post-apocalyptic themed season’s launch later today.

The Mad Max inspired season includes a greater focus on vehicular combat, as players explore a new wasteland biome in Nitro-fuelled, moddable cars.

Players will be able to unlock Fallout’s T-60 power armor by levelling up Wrecked’s Battle Pass, while bottles of Nuka-Cola will restore some health, and over time, some shield too.

A Wastelander Magneto skin will be unlockable through Battle Pass quests in July too.

“Welcome to the Wasteland,” reads the description accompanying the new season’s launch trailer. “A ferocious sandstorm has hit the Island leaving behind wreckage and a savage band of Wasteland Warriors. Get in the driver seat and go Nitro against the vehicular villains in Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked.”

For more information on Season 3, which runs until August 16 at 2am ET / 7am BST, check out Epic’s announcement blog.

The next free Epic Games Store title has seemingly been revealed ahead of its official announcement.

Multiplayer first person slasher Chivalry 2 looks set to replace Farming Simulator 22, which is currently free to claim until May 30.
