New Call of Duty Cheats Use Surprising Strategy to Defeat Anti-Cheat

A YouTuber has gained access to one of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 cheating community's most exclusive Discords and revealed one of its more advanced cheats, which can apparently detect when a user is being investigated and disable a user's cheats at certain, important moments. Like many popular FPS games, cheating has been a common issue in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 since its release.

Recently, Call of Duty addressed its cheating problems by acknowledging that its Richochet Anti-Cheat system has tracked a spike in cheaters over recent months. The short update further explained thatCall of Duty developers implemented new upgrades to Ricochet and are working on additional improvements for the future. However, players remain frustrated at the prevalence of cheaters, especially in the upper echelons of modes like Warzone's Ranked Resurgence or Modern Warfare 3's Ranked Play.

YouTuber NukeJesus uploaded a video that explained he spent years infiltrating one of the most exclusive cheating groups in Call of Duty. Apparently, one of the ways that Ricochet investigates suspected cheaters is by taking a series of screenshots of a user's perspective during a match. At the video's 6:15 mark, NukeJesus revealed that one of the group's cheats can recognize when Ricochet is about to take one of these screenshots and disable a user's cheats in the same millisecond that a screenshot is being taken. The video shows that one user successfully avoided 44 Ricochet screenshots in one game, and NukeJesus stated that he's heard of over 100 screenshots being avoided.

The YouTuber further claimed that six of the top 10 ranked players in Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play are cheaters and members of the previously mentioned Discord, and also explained that the highest levels of Ranked Warzone have similar issues.
