New Baldur's Gate 3 Update Just Changed The Game Forever

After a long wait, Patch 7 for is out now on PC. The long-awaited update has been expected since April, and was revealed to be scheduled for the first full week of September during Pax West. As of September 5, Patch 7 is available for download — but it's currently exclusive to PC, so Mac and console players still have a little while to wait.

Patch 7 is one of the biggest updates released for yet, including a number of new features. Perhaps most prominent is the introduction of official modding support, which will be available on all platforms as the patch comes to them. Players can also expect new dialogue, new Dark Urge cinematics, new Legendary Actions in Honor Mode, and lots more.

Patch 7 is an enormous file, and players will need 160 GB of free space to install it. However, with all the new features it offers, that's understandable — it'll forever change the face of.

Developed and published by Larian Studios, Baldur's Gate 3 is an upcoming role-playing game set to release in August of 2023. Players will create a character to embark on a large-scale journey and can do so solo or cooperatively with a friend. Combat is a turn-based style this time around.
