MotoGP 24 Launches on May 2 with New LiveGP Multiplayer Championships, Xbox-PlayStation Crossplay

Yesterday, Milestone announced MotoGP 24, this year's edition of the officially licensed MotoGP videogame.

This year, the Italian studio is adding several new features such as the Riders Market, which opens up endless opportunities for drivers to move to other teams. This means that each season will start with a different roster and players will be competing not only to win races and championships but also to find a new seat or keep their current one. Likes and replies on the fictional social network will even fuel rumors of possible rider transfers.

The new MotoGP Stewards will oversee the race and every timed session throughout the weekend, penalizing riders and AI alike based on their behavior on track. From simple warnings to long lap or time penalties, let pass orders for unfair overtaking and canceled qualifying times, both players and AI will be penalized for breaking the rules. Irresponsible driving will have even greater consequences in rivalries with other drivers.

MotoGP 24 also includes a so-called 'Adaptive Difficulty' system, which dynamically adjusts the difficulty of opponents based on the player's performance, tailoring the game's difficulty to each player's skill level. The developers also said that AI and physics have been significantly enhanced. The AI has been refined to replicate the real riders' approach to racing. Former world champions will use their experience to wait and see before making that winning pass. Rookies will be out to prove themselves from the start. As for the in-game physics, a new electronic tuning system has been designed to better manage corner entry and exit, improving power delivery to control rear wheel slip and the bike's tendency to wheelie. Another important aspect is tyre management, which has been revised to ensure the performance of all tyre compounds on different tracks while maintaining a distinct feel for each tyre.
