Monster Hunter Wilds Team Will Use Gamescom Feedback to Bring the Game to the Desired Quality Level

Monster Hunter Wilds was arguably the biggest game at Gamescom 2024, at least judging by the hours of queueing to play the game in the public area and the wins from the official awards.

This was the first time the game was playable, and Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained to Gamereactor that the feedback gathered from both press and players will be used by CAPCOM to bring the large game to the desired quality level.

I've heard great feedback so far. We've had so many great reactions from everyone who's tried out our showfloor demo. I'm going to go back to Japan and bring all that feedback and that passion that I've experienced here from the fans. When I let the wider development team know about that, I think it's really going to motivate them to keep going on this final stretch of development.

There are still some things left to finish up before we release Monster Hunter Wilds. But this was the first ever time that anyone outside the company has played the game. So, I think we've got a lot of feedback to take on board. We'll be able to check out reactions from both press and players at this event. And as I said before, I'm not just going to bring that back to motivate the team and make them feel happy and excited. Because the scale of the game is so much bigger now, and the volume of content is so much larger, that just brings a larger amount of development work for us to finalize the game to the level of quality that we're happy with.

Reading between the lines, it does sound like Monster Hunter Wilds may not launch as soon as 2025 drops, unlike Monster Hunter World, which debuted in late January 2018. However, that's just speculation on our part for now. CAPCOM will surely finalize the release
