Mark Hamill will voice The Joker in Multiversus

Mark Hamill will return to voice The Joker in Multiversus.

Hamill will again partner with Kevin Conroy’s Batman in his portrayal of the DC villain. The two are best known for facing off in Batman: The Animated Series as well as the Batman: Arkham games.

Voice lines referring to The Joker have been present in Mulitversus for some time.

It’s possible that Multiversus could be the final game to feature both Conroy and Hamill, following Conroy’s death in 2022.

It’s unknown if either will feature in the recently announced Batman: Arkham Shadow.

Batman: Arkham Shadow, developed by Camouflaj and Oculus Studios, will be revealed in full this June. It will be released in late 2024 exclusively for Meta Quest 3.

MultiVersus, which launched as an open beta in July 2022, is a Smash Bros-style crossover fighting game featuring characters from a variety of Warner Bros. properties, including DC Comics, Looney Tunes, Cartoon Network, Game of Thrones, Tom & Jerry, Gremlins, Rick & Morty and The Iron Giant.

It was initially very popular, with a peak of more than 143,000 players on Steam on day one, rising to 153,433 the following day.

A month after its launch, Warner claimed that over 20 million players had already downloaded and played the game, suggesting it had a strong base on which to build.

MultiVersus will officially return on May 28.
