Lies Of P DLC's First Image Appears Online Alongside Official Update From The Director

Director of Jiwon Choi, has unveiled a new teaser image and sound clip for the upcoming content to get fans into the soulslike mood. Choi first confirmed the DLC late last year alongside the revelation of a sequel. Since then, details revolving around the DLC have been quite sparse.

In a new post from the official X account, Choi updates fans on the progress of the previously announced DLC with both an image and the surprise release of a full-length track from the OST. The reveals came in tandem with a developer update thanking fans for their ongoing support. «Choi said, although no further details were shared.

The image (above) shows Pinocchio standing on a dimly lit pathway facing what appears to be a lighthouse. There is not much else to be gleaned from the image at this point, but it does raise questions as to whether or not the DLC will contain a new area or simply add upon the already existing Krat. As for the new track,, it features a very upbeat and whimsical tone, which falls in line with what fans have come to expect from the puppet-fighter.

With the release of so many new soulslikes, both throughout 2024 and in recent years, the creation of soulslike hybrid games, such as has added even more depth to the genre. In turn, this has kept things fresh and flourishing for existing fans and new players alike. While the details on what exactly can come from the DLC in are almost nonexistent, the latest teaser image and song give just a slight clue of what's to come.

While the developer updates are a welcome surprise, fans are still left with more questions than answers, including when the DLC will be released. Personally, I am excited to see what new details emerge over the coming weeks and months, as soulslike games such as are a great way to test your wit while trying not to rage quit in the process.
