Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered rated by the ESRB

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has been rated by the ESRB.

The game, which VGC reported on in 2022, will come to both PC and PlayStation 5, according to the ESRB listing.

A PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn was released in 2020 with improved draw distance and higher framerates, but it mostly reused the assets and features from the PS4 version.

It’s believed this version of the game will update character models from the original PS4 release to bring them in line with the PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West.

No release information is known about the remaster is currently known.

PlayStation will release another Horizon game, Lego Horizon Adventures, later this year.

Announced during June’s Summer Game Fest showcase, the action adventure title will hit PS5, PC and Nintendo’s console this holiday season.

Co-developed by Sony‘s Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo, it’s billed as “a playful and light-hearted story inspired by the events of the world of Horizon”.

James Windeler, a narrative director at PlayStation studio Guerrilla, discussed the decision to release Lego Horizon Adventures for Switch during a recent VGC interview.

“It was just a really unique opportunity for us. It was a natural fit for the ambitions that we had,” he said.

Guerrilla confirmed that it was planning to “expand the world of Horizon” with an online co-op project “featuring a new cast of characters and a unique stylized look”.

This followed reporting from VGC that the Dutch studio was planning an online spin-off, in addition to a planned trilogy of Horizon games.
