Instead Of Butchering Pals In Palworld, Every Player Should Be Doing This

Though one of the more controversial tactics in , butchering Pals is a necessary evil required to clear out the Palbox, but as it turns out — this early-game mechanic is certainly not the best thing to do with duplicate Pals. As one progresses through the varying technology tiers in, they'll discover new items and technologies that add another layer of complexity to what is already a pretty intricate survival title. One such technology can easily be overlooked in the early-mid game, as it requires a coveted Ancient Technology Point to unlock.

Among all the systems in the open-world survival game, perhaps top of mind for most is how to get the most powerful Pals. Though capturing and breeding are two well-known ways to ensure a powerful roster of creatures in the Paldeck, there's another — often neglected structure that one can build within the base that isn't the once-bugged Statute of Power. While it's easy to miss, it turns out that it's one of the most potent mechanics in the game and can boost any Pal's power.

The Pal Essence Condenser is one of the few epic items in Palworld that require an Ancient Technology Point, which can be obtained by defeating Tower Bosses or capturing or knocking out Alpha Pals on Palpagos Islands. It's found in the right-side purple column of the Technology tree at Level 14, and requires 20 Ingots, 20 Paldium Fragments, and 5 Ancient Civilization Parts to build.

The Pal Essence Condenser sacrifices the same species of Pals by combining them together to form a more powerful Pal. Each Pal has four stars that can be filled up by sacrificing a certain number of Pals at the condenser, turning them into essences. The first star only requires four Pals in addition to the one being leveled up, but subsequent upgrades will require exponentially more sacrifices. Pals consumed as essences will be gone forever, so there's no getting them back.
