How To Upgrade Your Gourd in Black Myth: Wukong (Drink Type & Soaks)

The healing Gourd in can be upgraded to restore more of your health every time you drink from it. However, certain items called soaks can be added to your Gourd to transform the drink within it to provide other benefits as well. These alternate drinks can also be upgraded to give you stronger effects beyond just helping you recover from damage in battle.

Gourds can be broken down into three parts — the Gourd itself, the drink inside the Gourd, and the soaks added to alter a drink's properties. Gourds have various base effects, but many are defined by the maximum number of drinks they can hold. For example, a Gourd could heal you and help you recover from poison in , but it has fewer drinks than your standard Gourd.

Black Myth: Wukong provides two graphical profiles for easy settings: Performance and Quality mode. Each has pros and cons for different players.

Gourds, drinks, and soaks can all be upgraded with the Shen Monkey NPC found during Chapter 1. This character is located at the Marsh of White Mist Keeper's Shrine but moves to the Painted Realm once you unlock that region later.
