One of the jobs is named Pictomancer, and they are a Magical Ranged DPS class that uses magic to summon colorful and artistic attacks on the opponent. Unfortunately, it isn't as simple as just owning the new expansion. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to unlock Pictomancer in FFXIV.
How to Unlock Pictomancer in FFXIV
First and foremost, you'll need to meet two preliminary requirements.

- Have a Combat Class or Job at level 80
- Own the Dawntrail expansion
Now that you have the preliminary requirements, you can focus on unlocking the job quests to progress through the game.
Head to Old Gridania and speak with Cheerless Hearer at (X:8.0 Y: 10.3). You'll then accept a quest called The Joy of Pictomancy, which will take you to the Gridania Aetheryte Plaza.
There, you'll have to wait for a moogle to show up. Converse with the moogle and head to the Adventurer's Guild, the Carline Canopy.
Watch the cutscene and speak to the moogle again, giving you the Pictomancer weapon, a Soul Crystal, and a Gear Coffer.
