How To Increase The Size Limit Of Your Settlements (Fallout 4 Glitch)

allows you to rebuild civilizations through customized settlements you can create, but a restrictive size limit prevents you from increasing your colony's growth beyond a certain point. By exploiting a glitch, you can bypass this limitation and make your settlement's growth nearly limitless. The community for this game have discovered a couple unique strategies that exploit the glitch to accomplish this goal.

This glitch reaches beyond the parameters of the game, causing it to have negative consequences if your system struggles already. The size limitation on settlements is designed to restrict the number of resources your system has to load. Exceeding the normal max count of objects in a settlement can crash your system if it is unprepared to load everything whenever you visit the location of your settlement in .

Sunshine Tidings Co-op, one of Fallout 4's most disappointingly easy settlements to acquire and protect, just got significantly more challenging.

The most common method for implementing the settlement size limit glitch is to drop weapons and armor onto the groundbefore placing them in the Workbench. When you enter your settlement, drop heavier items to the ground, then enter Workshop Mode. From here, place the dropped items in the Workshop or scrap them entirely to create more space in your settlement's size meter.

Heavier items like Power Armor in tend to free up more space in your settlement's size meter for expanded growth, but make sure you are only storing or scrapping unimportant items in the Workshop through the glitch.

The items that reduce your settlement's size meter the most are Pip-Boys, which you cannot use anyway due to having one of your own. Around 10 Pip-Boys can be found inside Vault 88, a place you can only explore within the DLC for. Simply use the same process you would for any item by dropping Pip-Boys you find in your settlement before transferring or scrapping them.

Settlement size can also be increased through console
