Several recipes use Nails as a major ingredient for convenient structures around your base. Exchanging the right goods harvested from the world for this resource will help you create a better home for your character as your journey continues.

Depending on which skills you unlock in , you may be able to destroy furniture with different weapons or tools. Nails are sometimes dropped from a broken workbench, table, or some other type of structure found on your map. Look for places like Scavenger campsites to find an abundant collection of furniture ready to be dismantled into the material you want.

The best way to get nails is from the Blacksmith NPC you free during the main story quest. This mission sees your character traverse a dangerous dungeon in search of this captured vendor in. Freeing the captive from a sleeping pod deep within a Vault's catacombs will allow you to call him to your base using the Summoning Staff item.

The Blacksmith sells 2 Nails for 1 Metal Scrap in , which should give you a generous amount of the material whenever you buy it. Metal Scrap is easy enough to find, either on Scavenger enemies or from breaking objects in the world like the furniture mentioned earlier.
