How To Get Sovereigns In Skull and Bones

The rarest currency you can get in is Sovereigns, which only appear during the endgame portion of your adventure. Used to purchase new cosmetics for your character and ship, you need to compete with others to earn these items. However, you must reach a certain level of Infamy first before you can even consider collecting Sovereigns toward the end of your adventure.

Your character must have the max Infamy Rank of Kingpin to begin earning Sovereigns. Infamy can be raised by completing basic activities like heists and contracts in as you travel the oceans with your crew. Discovering new sections of your map will also earn you some Infamy, but keep in mind that some goals will raise your notoriety more than others as you engage with various content.

The only way to earn Sovereigns in is to advance through the Weekly and Seasonal Leaderboards unlocked when you reach Kingpin Infamy. Reaching the max Infamy will open up a new contract called that you must finish to open up Leaderboards. Managing to move up your Ranking will reward you with Sovereigns as you surpass other competing online players.

You can check to see where you stand on any Leaderboard by visiting the Helm Empire Overview at the Smuggler's Hideout location on your map.

Anyone looking to climb the Leaderboards must collect Pieces of Eight items to improve their standings compared to others. Unlike farming Silver in , you can't just move up through the ranks by raiding Outposts or doing other basic activities. Collecting a specific number of Pieces will reward your crew with Sovereigns as you meet different thresholds on the Leaderboards.

Pieces of Eight are earned through contracts, which you can pick up at The Helm or various Outpost locations in . You'll have to obtain at least 10,000 Pieces to reach the first reward of 350 Sovereigns on the Seasonal Leaderboard. Some objectives may offer more Pieces than others, so try to find the ones that offer the most to farm this resource effectively.
