Honkai Star Rail 2.2 Leaks: New Mechanic May Change The Game Forever

A new gameplay mechanic mentioned in 2.2 leaks has the potential to change the game forever if it ends up being true. Currently, the game is entering Version 2.1, following the release of Penacony earlier this year. While players are being introduced to three new characters in 2.1, as well as more main story quests and plenty of events, leakers are already setting their sights on the upcoming patches, and several reliable details are arising from the rumored pieces of information.

The popular leaker known as HomDGCat made a post on Reddit, mentioning that a few new opponents in Version 2.2 will have “” and that when each of these layers is broken, the Weakness Break Effect will occur, but they will not be put into the Weakness Broken state. It is uncertain if any of these are the ones referenced by HomDGCat, but they do seem like a standard new enemy family rather than several mini-bosses. If regular enemies are now receiving multiple layers of Toughness, then the game is possibly getting significantly more challenging, forcing players to upgrade their characters in order to continue progressing through the simplest of activities.

Of course, the power of these rumored layers of Toughness has yet to be described. If
