Halo Infinite Update 31 Patch Notes Revealed

343 Industries has revealed Halo Infinite's update 31 patch notes, introducing a slew of enhancements, bug fixes, and new features to the game. Among the highlights are significant updates to Halo Infinite’s networking model, the introduction of Easy Anti-Cheat on PC, and experimental changes to Competitive Skill Rank payouts.

Halo Infinite is the latest installment in the iconic Halo video game series developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios. It serves as a direct sequel to Halo 5: Guardians and continues the story of Master Chief. The game features expansive environments, along with a renewed focus on the franchise's signature gameplay elements, such as epic battles, futuristic weaponry, and multiplayer modes.

Halo Infinite's previously announced major update has been rolled out, packed with significant changes to the game's online multiplayer experience, including an overhauled network model and the implementation of Easy Anti-Cheat on PC. One of the most notable additions is the expansion of the new networking model previously introduced in the Firefight matchmaking playlists. Now applied across the entire Halo Infinite online multiplayer experience, players can expect fewer instances of rubberbanding movement and taking damage around corners, addressing issues caused by desynchronization with the multiplayer server.

To combat Halo Infinite’s cheaters, Easy Anti-Cheat will detect and remove players attempting to cheat or alter game files during multiplayer matches. This addition aims to maintain a level playing field and uphold the integrity of the gaming experience. However, it's important to note that EAC is not active in Campaign or Forge's Edit Mode. In response to community feedback, the update also introduces experimental deterministic competitive skill rank payouts. Players with a CSR of 1800 or higher will now earn or lose 7 CSR for every win or loss in Ranked matchmaking playlists, respectively.

Update 31 also brings a new Firefight
