Google and Reddit Enter a Content Licensing Deal Worth $60 Million

Reddit has become a go-to place for a lot of people who are looking for answers to something they find confusing. Sure, people can just go to Google and do the same, but the results sometimes vary.

Google and Reddit entering a deal together could be great for users on both platforms

This has become so common that Google has a Reddit button that actually helps you find results from the website, and now both companies have decided that it would be better to work together as they have both entered content licensing deals, and based on the information we have, this deal is going to help the searches as well as AI.

Both companies have revealed that Google will be using the content available on Reddit to train its AI models, but the companies even talked about how this deal is going to allow Google to display the content in "new ways," what those ways are is something that we are not sure about.

Google did give us an outline of how things will become easier for Reddit users with this deal in place.

If this deal is successful, which it should be, then it is safe to say that our search results and AI are going to become a lot better than before, and with both Reddit and Google committed to delivering a good experience, it is certainly something that I can get behind as a user as the one thing that concerns me more is the user experience, and that is what I am looking for.

Sure, it does sound scary that Google is going to start training its AI models using the content from Reddit based on all the stuff that you find on the platform, but I am sure there are going to be some countermeasures in place that will make things work better.
