GOG games will soon be playable through Amazon Luna cloud gaming

GOG has partnered with Amazon Luna to make its DRM-free titles playable on the cloud gaming service.

Starting “soon”, select GOG games will be playable through Amazon Luna, with cloud saves and achievements shared across the two platforms.

Players will also be able to buy games that are available on GOG through Luna’s client and they will go straight into their GOG library.

Currently available in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, Luna can be played on a number of devices including PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and select LG and Samsung Smart TVs.

It supports the Amazon Luna controller, various third-party peripherals including Xbox One and PS4 pads, plus mouse and keyboard. Players can also use their phone as a controller for some games.

Rather than paying for individual games, Amazon Luna players instead sign up to one or more subscriptions.

A Luna+ subscription costs $9.99/£8.99 a month and includes access to over 100 games, including the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, Control Ultimate Edition, Sonic Mania, Tetris Effect and Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2.

Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ for $17.99/£14.99, and Jackbox Games for $4.99/£3.99 a month.

Players who are subscribed to Amazon Prime receive access to a rotating selection of Luna games each month. In March, these include Drift CE, Rescue Party Live, Trepang2, Chicken Assassin Reloaded, Fortnite, Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival and Trackmania.

Prime Gaming also offers members PC titles to keep plus exclusive in-game content every month.
