Gigabyte has unveiled new Mini PC solutions in China as a part of its ITX & DIY PC range which feature AMD's Ryzen 8000G APUs.

Gigabyte Equips AMD Ryzen 8000G APUs To Its DIY Mini PC Lineup, ITX Designs That Can Be Used As A PC, Gaming Console, HTPC Setup

Gigabyte seems tired of the traditional mini-PC products and has decided to unveil something innovative and more "compact" to help with the cause. The Metal Gear Plus ITX Mini PCs aim to squeeze in quality components such as AMD's Ryzen 8000G APUs & provide users with broader accessibility options instead of making the build unchangeable by going the full DIY route. There are a lot of interesting features with the Metal Gear Plus ITX, so let's get into them one by one.

Starting with the specifications, Gigabyte's Metal Gear Plus Mini PCs feature comprehensive options of AMD's Ryzen 8000G "Hawk Point" APUs, including Ryzen 5 8500G, Ryzen 5 8600G, and the highest-end Ryzen 7 8700G. All options feature decent compute and graphics performance through dedicated Radeon iGPUs onboard. It's certainly one step forward in the mass adoption of AMD's Ryzen 8000 APU lineup, which is already replacing the Phoenix series in the handheld and mini-PC segments.

The PC is equipped with a custom motherboard that features two DDR5 memory slots and a heatsink that covers the VRMs. Considering that there's no cut-out for a graphics card due to the limited space of the chassis, the graphics processing is handheld by the RDNA 3 iGPUs which are a great solution for entry-level gamers and support the latest technologies such as FSR 3, etc.
