Forza Motorsport Update 7 Notably Shrinks the Game’s File Size, Adds Brands Hatch Track

Today’s AAA games require a lot of storage, and typically, they only get bigger post-launch as addition content and updates are applied. So, it’s somewhat surprising to report that Forza Motorsport – which launched at a very-meaty 130-GB-plus -- is actually shrinking in size with its latest patch. Forza Motorsport Update 7 will see the game’s file size reduced by around 25 GB on Xbox Series X and 29 GB on PC.

Forza Motorsport Update 7 also offers some new content, most notably the famous Brands Hatch raceway from the United Kingdom. You can check out an overview trailer for Forza Motorsport Update 7, below.

“This update introduces the Brands Hatch track to Career, Multiplayer, Free Play and Rivals. Located a short drive from London, Brands Hatch is widely considered one of the most iconic sporting venues in Europe and has a rich history of hosting a variety of motorsport events, including the British Grand Prix.

Brands Hatch is also renowned for its challenging layout, with a combination of fast straights, tight corners, and tricky elevation changes that make it a favorite among drivers and racing fans alike. Its first turn, the Paddock Hill Bend, sees cars diving downhill at high speed and then climbing back up into the tight hairpin turn called Druids.

The Grand Prix layout features three high speed corners called Hawthorns, Westfield and Sheene Curve which challenge drivers to be millimeter-accurate when choosing their turn in points on this relatively narrow circuit. Meanwhile, the Indy layout is a short 1.2-mile thrill ride which pairs perfectly with slower cars and grassroots events.”

Those who have purchased the Forza Motorsport Car Pass (the equivalent of a season pass) can look forward to three new rides over the coming weeks, including…
