Former Xbox Exclusive Rated for the Nintendo Switch

The Switch version of former Xbox exclusive Hi-Fi Rush has received an official content rating from the European PEGI rating board, ahead of its rumored launch on the Nintendo platform. The rhythm action game from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda made waves following its debut early last year, wowing fans with its flashy artstyle and music. Hi-Fi Rush received multiple accolades at end-of-year award shows, including «Best Audio Design» at the 2023 Game Awards. Now, the game's rumored Switch release has just received its first official rating.

With the success of Hi-Fi Rush on Xbox, the once-exclusive title has already made its way onto one of its biggest competitor's consoles. Hi-Fi Rush saw the release of a PS5 version last month, as one of several Xbox exclusives announced to be going multi-platform. A Switch version of Hi-Fi Rush has also been heavily rumored following the announcement of a PS5 port, with some fans even believing that the game may come to the rumored in-development Switch 2. Now, Hi-Fi Rush's Switch version has received a jolt of energy with its official rating.

As reported by MyNintendoNews, Hi-Fi Rush recently received the official content rating for its Switch version from European ratings board PEGI. Hi-Fi Rush was given a rating of PEGI 12 by the board, citing its «moderate violence» and «bad language» as the reasoning for the age restriction. The listing cites specific scenes that contributed to Hi-Fi Rush's PEGI 12 rating as well, including a character being put in a choke hold and citing specific bad language. Tango Gameworks and Bethesda have yet to officially announce Hi-Fi Rush's Switch release.

Among the various rumors surrounding Hi-Fi Rush's Switch version, one of the biggest is its potential debut on Nintendo's next console. Rumors surrounding Hi-Fi Rush from earlier this year hinted that the Tango and Bethesda rhythm game may actually be launching on the Switch 2. Nintendo has yet to officially announce a «Switch 2» console, though
