Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is Out Now, Watch the Official Launch Trailer

Elden Ring’s hotly anticipated first and last expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, is now live. Bandai Namco recently dropped a launch trailer for the expansion ahead of its release.

The three minute trailer showcases the expansion’s many new environments, enemies, bosses, weapons, and more. For players looking to jump in now, Bandai Namco released PC minimum and recommended specifications to give you a better idea for what performance will be like.

Accessing the Shadow of the Erdtree content does require a bit of legwork. Players will need to have defeated the bosses Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood to venture into the Land of Shadow. Once these bosses are defeated, players will need to interact with Miquella’s Cocoon in the Moghwyn Dynasty Mausoleum in order to gain entry. This doesn’t sound like a lot, but both of these bosses are found in the middle to later stages of the game, so there’s no skipping through the base game to jump into the expansion. It’s possible to beeline to these encounters in under 10 hours, however. For everyone else, expect to spend at least 30 hours with the base game before diving into the expansion.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
