Elden Ring Director Shares A Disappointing Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Update

fans hoping for even more expansions after the upcoming DLCare out of luck as creative director Hidetaka Miyazaki shared some bad news about the game's future. Released in 2022, the community has waited for over two years to return to The Lands Between and while pre-release footage continues to look promising, some are already looking to the future. While FromSoftware is known for releasing at least a couple of expansions for their RPGs, with a few exceptions, it seems like won't receive any further post-launch support.

Per GamesRadar+, Miyazaki confirmed to Chinese site Campfire Camp that will be the only expansion released for , dashing hopes that FromSoftware would further flesh out the world with additional DLC. Despite this disappointing news, the creative director doesn't mention anything in terms of updates and patches, meaning there's a chance that the developer could add some small new features after the release of. This remains pure speculation though given that FromSoftware has yet to unveil any such development roadmap regarding the game's immediate future.
