Elaborate Starfield Mod Finally Gives Players Something To Do With All Their Credits

While players may want to experience the pure escapism of flying off into space without worrying about relatable issues like covering rent and paying back loans, a new mod is making finances more realistic. Generally speaking, it's incredibly easy to gather up a vast horde of Credits in; when cash isn't looted off a corpse, it's usually dumped on players as a reward for completing a quest. It's certainly nice to never worry about burning through money but at the same time, it's frustrating that aside from spending it on gear, Credits don't really serve a purpose.

Over on Nexus Mods, creator 0xDezzy wants to amend this issue with their mod «StarFinance» which introduces a wealth of systems to designed to make Credits feel more useful. With the add-on installed, players will be able to set up a personal bank account, take out loans that will need to be paid back, and even maintain their credit score to ensure they earn a decent interest rate. The system is ambitious in terms of what it wants to introduce to and the best part is that it's still growing.

Players can make a lot of money with several of the items they encounter during the early portions of Starfield. Here are the best ones available.

«StarFinance» is still in the early stages of development but 0xDezzy has promised some impressive additions to the mod. Perhaps most exciting are the «consequences» for players who fail to pay back any loans as GalBank dispatches bounty hunters to bring down the target and collect what's owed. Additionally, users who want to make savvy investments will be able to rent out properties to NPCs and even set up entire lease agreements that can be customized.

The «StarFinance» mod will eventually allow players to take on mortgages on properties and slowly pay them off over a while.
