EA Sports FC 25 is removing contracts from Ultimate Team

EA Sports FC 25 will remove contract items from Ultimate Team.

The contract items were previously required in order to play matches in the popular mode, however, this will no longer be the case in the next entry of the game.

While contract items were not difficult to acquire, they were a reoccurring frustration for the player base, which saw applying the contracts as more of a chore than anything else. It’s unclear if the item will be replaced by another system.

Players have routinely asked for an “apply all” button to refresh expired contacts. In EA FC 24, players need to apply for each contract individually.

EA Sports FC 25 will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on September 27, 2024.

EA has also announced several new modes featured in this year’s series entry, including Rush, which sees players competing in 5vs5 games. This mode, which will feature across Kick-Off, Ultimate Team and Clubs, will replace Volta.

EA has also announced changes to Ultimate Team, such as the inclusion of a duplicate storage solution for duplicate items, as well as more Evolution items, which can now be customised.

Career mode will also feature women’s football for the first time, with several of the top women’s leagues and the UEFA Women’s Champion’s League all licensed.
