EA Classics Like Populous and Dungeon Keeper Finally Land on Steam

A wave of EA Classics has joined the most popular PC digital store, Steam, for the first time ever.

This includes the Populous series. Designed by Peter Molyneux, it spawned the god game genre. The first Populous launched in 1989 for the Amiga, instantly becoming a success and spawning two sequels: 1991's Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods and 1998's Populous: The Beginning, the latter of which used 3D graphics. However, only the first two games have been added to Steam.

Other EA Classics that just launched on Valve's store include the two games in the Dungeon Keeper series. Peter Molyneux was the project leader and designer for this first installment, too. Just like Populous and Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods, Dungeon Keeper Gold and Dungeon Keeper 2 are priced at just $2 thanks to a 60% discount that's set to end on March 21.

Strategy fans can also look forward to Command & Conquer - The Ultimate Collection, priced at $9.88. This bundle (not to be confused with Command & Conquer Remastered Collection) includes Command & Conquer, Command & Conquer: The Covert Operations, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, Command & Conquer: Red Alert: Counterstrike, Command & Conquer: Red Alert: The Aftermath, Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge, Command & Conquer: Renegade, Command & Conquer: Generals, Command & Conquer: Generals: Zero Hour, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars: Kane's Wrath, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3: Uprising, and Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight.
