Diablo 4 Will Make a Big Change to Helltide Events in Season 4

While trying out the new features and changes coming to Diablo 4 on the Public Test Realm (PTR), some players discovered a major change that will impact Helltide events. As the PTR allows players to test the new mechanics from Diablo 4 Season 4, this change to Helltide events should soon be available for all players on the Diablo 4 main servers.

Less than a year after its original launch, Diablo 4 still gathers a faithful community of players eager to discover the themed seasons unveiled by Blizzard every three months. The latest release, Diablo 4 Season 3, introduced a new quest line centered around the demon Malphas and mysterious Constructs. Besides this new quest line, the seasonal dungeons, and the new Battle Pass, one of the most popular endgame activities in Diablo 4 are Helltide events where hordes of demons flood a specific part of Sanctuary. Players brave enough to kill them receive Aberrant Cinders, a currency used to open special chests called Tortured Gifts and receive powerful items.

As the Diablo 4 Season 4 PTR will close its doors on April 9, a Reddit user known as Atsnal shared a discovery they made about a new change impacting Diablo 4 Helltide events. While exploring a cellar during a Helltide event, they found a consumable that increases Helltide monster level and Aberrant Cinder drops, hinting at a major change coming to this endgame activity. This buff not only means that a new kind of consumable will be available in Diablo 4, but that Helltide events will be harder in Season 4 and drop more loot for players ready to tackle this challenge.

In the comments to this Reddit post, players were glad to see a new change coming to Helltide events with the upcoming release of Diablo 4 Season 4.
